Incredible things happen when the public comes together. Over one million people signed a petition to protect animals from fireworks – a powerful show of compassion.
Now imagine if we could channel that same energy to protect something even closer to home: our children.
We’re building momentum, but we need your help to take this to the next level. In July, we will deliver a powerful white paper – backed by undeniable data – straight to Number 10 Downing Street. Alongside it is four clear, achievable, and affordable recommendations to ensure that every child receives the life skills they need to thrive.
But without your voice, our message may not be loud enough to be heard.
What Are We Asking For?
We’re calling for more time and support in the school curriculum to focus on the life skills that matter most.
Not instead of Maths and English – but in addition to them.
Life skills such as:
- Mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Managing risk and making good decisions
- Healthy relationships and empathy
- Communication skills and digital resilience
- Knife crime prevention and personal safety
These skills are not optional extras. They are essential for helping children grow into confident, capable, and compassionate adults.
The Problem: An Outdated System
Today’s school system focuses heavily on academic achievement, but too often leaves young people underprepared for real life.
Phonics and embedded clauses don’t teach children how to stay safe from online grooming or navigate the complex dangers of social media. Long division won’t help them understand consent, digital boundaries, or how to report harmful behaviour online.
And the parents raising them now are often facing entirely new social threats – challenges they never experienced growing up. From anonymous messaging apps to viral social pressure, the digital world has created risks we can no longer afford to ignore.
It’s time for schools to support parents in addressing these modern realities. Many schools are already doing fantastic work in this area – but others are under-resourced and under-supported.
We must change that. Together.
Let’s Shape a Stronger Society
Imagine the impact we could make if, for the 11 years children are in school, they gained new life skills every single year.
We could:
- Prevent knife crime
- Tackle domestic violence
- Reduce self-harm and suicide
- Promote mental health
- Eradicate bullying and discrimination
This is not about blame. This is about building something better. Strengthening communities, raising employable young adults, and creating a society that knows right from wrong – and has the tools to act on it.
Support Is Growing – But We Need More
Already, 9 Members of Parliament have shown interest in backing our recommendations.
Becky Francis and her team are currently reviewing the national curriculum – and decisions made in the next few weeks could determine whether the next generation receives the support they need.
This is our moment.
But we must be louder. Much louder.
Here’s How You Can Help
Today, we’re asking you to do just one small thing that could have a huge impact:
📄 Read and share our white paper, which will be delivered to Number 10 in July
👉 Read the white paper here »
🔗 Sign and share the petition
👉 Sign and share the petition here »
🖊️ Ask 10 friends or colleagues to sign – if everyone did this, we’d reach an extraordinary milestone.
Why Now?
If we can get a million signatures to protect animals, surely we can do the same – or more – for our children.
🕔 It only takes 5 minutes – and it could shape British education for decades to come.
Let’s be the generation that stood up, spoke out, and made sure our children were truly prepared for life.
💬 Stand with us. Speak up. Be part of the change.
Let’s make so much noise that the government can’t ignore us.
Let’s fix what’s broken – and give our children the future they deserve.
