Expose the Myth
A myth is defined as...
There are high school and college courses on Greek mythology. It has served
as one of the most telling sources about the attitudes and influences of
the Greek culture. These citizens lived their lives everyday according to
the "wishes and whims" of the "gods" they worshipped. Five hundred years
from now, what will be said about the myths we believed? Will "baby-boomers"
great-great-great grandchildren label us as those who worshipped the "gods"
of people, money, food, sex, drugs and alcohol? As in the Greek culture,
once our myths have been adopted as truth, our attitudes and behaviors follow.
Lessons for Life will help you take inventory and expose the myths you believe.
After exposure there is an exchange that must occur - the myths and lies
we believe - for God's Word that brings life. Only when we live in Truth,
not myths, are we able to experience the abundant life God has promised.
